The Whoville/Grinch Christmas Party

Had so much fun
decorating for our ward's Christmas Party this year.
Had some great friends who all rallied together to get decorating and a
 program ready for the activity.

A backdrop was made for people to
come and take a picture in front of.
Everyone was told to dress as a Who from Whoville,
the outfits and hair were amazing.

That's right we had a Grinch too.

Fun ward christmas party.

*See the program below for a link to the Grinch's performance*

This is the gym during set up,
before the napkins and cups (red)
 were set and
all the center pieces were on the table.
It ended up looking so colourful.

Wrapped the tables in paper
so the kids could color on them
and had
extra Grinch colouring sheet
and cups of crayons on the tables too.

We made coloured poof trees (tissue paper puffs) and garland for the walls
and one of our friends made the 3D snowflakes

We had 3 different center pieces.

This one was made from a dollar store tree.
We squeezed it into this
cute "whoish" shape
and glued mini pom poms on it
and then hung an ornament from the tip.

We decorated the cute white pot
with red circle stickers and green garland.

This one was just bought from the dollar store.
So easy and a nice pop of colour.

The red springy red balls were also bought
from the dollar store and
added to a tall
 glass vase full of
 green Easter basket filler
and then tied with a ribbon.

The program was short and sweet, with a great message at the end.

We modified and shortened the
story of the Grinch for our narrator

and had some musical numbers through out.

Everyone sang the Whoville song "Welcome Christmas"
and then my father-in -law sang "Your a mean one Mr. Grinch"
and then two little 6 year old girls came and sang "Where are you Christmas"
and then the whole Primary came up and sang "Silent Night"
and we ended with a portion of Pres. Uchtdorf's message on the Grinch.

*Here is the link to the performance of the Grinch in the middle of the program*
the worm is my favorite part.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and
remember the true meaning of Christmas.
The birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
